All patients admitted to the hospital must sign the Consent Forms before initiating of any treatment,except in life threating situations.Procedures/ Operations involving certain degree of risk or complications, reqire informed (Speacial) Consent.The doctor in-charge will explain the procedures with relavant details in advance before you sign the forms to ensure you are comportable and safe while staying in the Hospital.

Medicines Prescribed by pratitioners not associated with United Hospital are not allowed to be consumed at the United Hospital without written consent of your doctor in-charge.All such medications must be discussed in advance with your physician in-charge. Any ill effects/cross reactions sustained by consumption of drugs without the knowledge of your doctor at United Hospital will be at your own risk.
All patients must disclose food/ drug allergies to the doctor at the time of admission.Suppression of relavant information on the part of the patient/relatives/attendants from the medical/nursing staff will hold the Hospital harmless in case of professional liability.

Patients are not allowed to leave the Nursing floor without the permission of the Nurse in-charge.

Sponge bath/back rub/toilet assistance/feeding assistance is provided to all the bed ridden/handicapped patients by the Nursing staff on daily basis.

All patients must wear the Hospital uniforms.Bed linen is regularly changed and every time the patient is discharged. Only the Hospital staff on duty may handle oxygen flow meters or any other Hospital equipment.

Patients suspected to be suffering from communicable diseases must be admitted to isolation Cabins till the time they are occupy beds in the general area upon written orders of the doctor.

Patients too sick to be cared for/monitored in the general wards/private rooms must be shifted to Intensive Care Unit as soon as possible.

Patients too weak/old/confused/connected to life saving equipment/recovering from major surgical procedures are not allowed to get out of bed or walk around without assistance which is to be provided by the Nursing staff only.

United Hospital reserves the right to use physical restraints on patients who are likely to hurt themselves/others as a result of mental confusion/intoxication/hostility/otherwise.

As a safety precaution against overmedicating patients,Hospital policy forbids the Nursing Staff from dispensing pain/sleep medications without doctor's consent. Such restriction do not apply to other medications which are dispensed automatically as prescribed.

As a matter of Hospital policy, tipping/rewarding of individual Hospital employees is strictly forbidden. True professionals consider it below their dignity to accept personal gifts for work done in the line of their duty.However,grateful patients may express their gratitude in other ways. You may discuss with the in-charge Customer Services for suggesions.

Patient's relatives/attendants/visitors must make use of public toilets provided on the each floor. Use of toilets in the wards by attendants/visitors is strictly prohibited,unless the patient is admitted to a private room in which case use of toilets is permissible.

Dustbins are provided in the Hospital premises and inside the building. Littering the environment is strictly forbidden. Please,help us serve you better by keeping the premises clean.
