He passed MBBS in 1989 from Chittagong Medical College under University of Chittagong. He enrolled in Doctor of Medicine (MD) course in Radiology & Imaging at BIRDEM under Dhaka University in 2003. He has had CT, MRI & Mammography training in reputed hospitals in India including Medanta Hospital of Gurgaon and Beach Candy Hospital of Mumbai. He further took Interventional Radiology training from CMC Vellore, India.

He worked in Bangladesh Medical College Hospital of Dhanmondi, Dhaka as Assistant Professor of Radiology & Imaging from the year 2003 to 2006. Before joining at United Hospital he worked as a Consultant of Radiology & Imaging at Square Hospital, Dhaka from the end of the year 2006 to September 2018.
