United Hospital starts Telemedicine service for Chittagong dwellers
United Hospital has started Telemedicine Consultation Service for the residents of Chittagong from December 2017. This Telemedicine service will be directed from Chittagong Information Centre of United Hospital which is located at 23/A, M S Ali Road, Mehedibagh, Gol Pahar Mor. Patients can communicate with the United Hospital doctor of chosen specialty through video conference by taking a prior appointment. Patient’s previous documents of investigations and reports will be shared with the doctor through e-mail prior to the teleconsultation. Doctors of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Nephrology, Urology, Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Respiratory Medicine, Orthopedics, Neurology, Neuro Surgery and Oncology specialties will be available to provide Telemedicine support. Continuity of care for these patients will be carried forward, when the doctors go for their weekly visit to the Chittagong center next or when the patient visits the Dhaka hospital for a follow-up.

Cardiac life-support equipped Ambulance service can also be availed by calling here, to transfer critically ill patients in emergency situation from Chittagong to Dhaka
United Hospital plans to expand this Telemedicine service in other cities of the country as well.
