UNITED HOSPITAL OBSERVED WORLD HEART DAY 2018
The theme of World Heart Day for the year 2018 is “My heart, Your heart”. Like every year, United Hospital observed World Heart Day this year in befitting manner by conducting Free Health Check-up in a health check booth at hospital lobby. United Hospital Limited, Dr. N A M Momenuzzaman, Chief Consultant Cardiology, Dr. Kaisar Nasrullah Khan, Consultant & Dr. Reyan Anis, Consultant Cardiology department of United Hospital inaugurated the health check booth at hospital lobby in presence of hospital doctors, nurses and officials.
Dr. N A M Momenuzzaman said, our heart powers our whole body. It lets us love, laugh and live our life to the full. That’s why it’s so important for us to look after our heart. If we don’t, we’re putting ourselves at risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), which includes heart disease and stroke. Heart disease and stroke are the world’s leading causes of death, claiming 17.3 million lives each year, and by 2030 this is expected to rise to 23 million.
