  • Completed fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (Dhaka, Bangladesh), Hospital Charles Nicolle (Rouen, France), Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University (Bangkok, Thailand) and Medical College of Georgia (Augusta, Georgia, USA) between 1998 to 2001
  • Completed PhD from University of Dhaka in a collaboration with Alabama Medical Center, Birmingham, USA in 2004
  • Worked as Assistant Professor at National Center for Control of Rheumatic Fever and Heart Diseases and Mymensingh Medical College
  • Served as Professor and Head, Department of Cardiology at Sir Salimullah Medical College in 2009 to 2012
  • Prior to joining United Hospital as Fixed Time Cardiology Consultant, he worked as a Director and Professor, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, where he had earlier served as Professor of Cardiology, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor
  • Well-recognized as an Interventional Cardiologist with passion for innovation, adaptation of new techniques and dissemination of new knowledge in the field of Coronary intervention, Primary PCI, Zero contrast angioplasty etc.
  • He is a Chairman and Course Director of Bangladesh Interventional Therapeutics (BIT), Governor, American College of Cardiology (ACC), Bangladesh Chapter and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Invasive and Clinical Cardiology
  • Training and teaching in Post-graduate Cardiology Courses, Examiner of Post-graduate Cardiology examination of BSMMU, Dhaka University and others
