Dr. S M Shohel Rana completed his MBBS from Dhaka University in 2013 and his MD in Hepatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.

He received One year Max Fellowship in Advanced GI Endoscopy, Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Max CLBS training in Transplant Hepatology from Max Super Specialty Hospital, Delhi India in 2023. He also received Observership training in GI Motility Disorder Study from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, India in 2021.

He developed his expertise in performing Therapeutic Endoscopy, ERCP, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopic Ultrasound procedures, High-Resolution Oesophageal and Anorectal manometry, Third Space Endoscopy such as Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection.

He has experience of managing more than 100 Pre and Post liver Transplant patients in the department of Transplant Hepatology, CLBS, Max Hospital, Delhi. He improved his skills in the comprehensive care of critically ill patients of Liver and Gastrointestinal diseases by managing patients in Liver and Medical ICU of Max Hospital, Delhi.

He worked as a Consultant in the Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology of Central Police Hospital, Dhaka in 2022 and as an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Ashiyan Medical College in 2021.
